On the 29th February 2024 we received the exciting news that Calderdale & Kirklees Teaching School Hub had been re-designated as a teaching school Hub for the next 4 years. 

Teaching school hubs are centres of excellence and our hub is led by Shelley College and SHARE Multi Academy Trust.

The job of the Hub is to promote high quality professional development for teachers and leaders across the two local authorities. The Hub plays a significant role in the delivery of 

• School based Initial teacher training - ITT
• National Professional Qualifications - NPQs
• The Early Career Framework - ECF
• Appropriate body services.

We are working closely with the two local authorities and a number of strategic partners to offer first-class professional development opportunities for teachers in our area and are keen to establish a broad and collaborative partnership across Calderdale and Kirklees.
