Meet the ITT Team
Our ITT partnership with Trinity Institute of Education and Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership was formed to deliver high-quality teacher training to the region.
Each member of the team contributes their expertise and experience, and is dedicated to providing support to trainees. We know that choosing a career in teaching, and training to become a teacher, are big decisions. They are here to help you every step of the way with advice and support, answering any questions you may have, right from enquiry stage through to your graduation day!
How the team will support you
- Provide advice and guidance on your preferred teaching phase/subject, including arranging a school experience day, and completing the programme application.
- Provide regular communication and support following the application, including regular updates and tips on how to prepare for your learning.
- Deliver a Pre-placement Induction - we run a ‘Flying Start’ induction week for our trainees prior to the summer where you will meet some of your fellow trainees and colleagues and learn more about the year ahead.
- Deliver highly effective contextualised theory sessions.
- Ensure interactive and engaging content.
- Deliver module training which includes support from other outstanding teachers to provide core skills and knowledge.
- Provide constructive feedback from observations to support continued development and progression.
- Undertake regular placement visits and liaison with your mentor. We want to ensure that you enjoy the best possible experience during training.
- Provide employment support - all of our trainees are highly employable and our placement schools support our ITT programme as part of their own recruitment strategies.
